Internal Links (Faydaa Tech): Comprehensive Bybit Card Review

Introduction

The Bybit Mastercard is a debit card that allows you to spend your crypto holdings at over 90 million Mastercard merchants worldwide. Unlike traditional bank cards, it bridges the gap between your digital assets and real-world purchases.

Step 1: Account Creation & Security

  • Sign Up: Register at Bybit.com. Use a referral code if available to claim welcome bonuses.
  • Security First: Before applying for a card, enable Google Two-Factor Authentication (2FA). This is a mandatory security layer for all financial transactions on the platform.

Step 2: Completing Identity Verification (KYC)

  • You must complete Level 1 Identity Verification.
  • Required Documents: A valid Passport, National ID, or Residence Permit.
  • Process: Upload a clear photo of your ID and perform a quick biometric "liveness" face scan via your webcam or phone camera. Approval usually takes between 15 minutes and 2 hours.

Step 3: The Application Process

  1. Navigate to the "Finance" menu in the top navigation bar.
  2. Click on "Card".
  3. Click "Apply Now".
  4. Choose your Currency: Select your primary fiat currency (e.g., EUR or GBP).
  5. Confirm Identity: Bybit will use your KYC data to pre-fill the form.
  6. Virtual Card Activation: Once you click submit, your virtual card is typically issued instantly. You can find your card number, CVV, and expiry date by clicking "View Info."

Step 4: Ordering the Physical Card (Optional)

  • While the virtual card works for online shopping and Apple/Google Pay, you may want a physical card for ATM withdrawals.
  • Click "Apply for Physical Card".
  • Confirm your shipping address.
  • Fee: A 5 EUR/GBP issuance fee is usually deducted from your funding account. Delivery takes 7–14 business days.

Step 5: Funding and Spending Logic

  • The Funding Account: Ensure your assets are in your "Funding Account" (not your Unified Trading Account).
  • Supported Assets: Bybit currently supports spending in USDT, USDC, BTC, ETH, and XRP.
How it works: When you swipe your card, Bybit calculates the exchange rate in real-time and converts your crypto into the merchant's local currency.
